According to reports WWE is set to sign a NXT superstar in it’s main roster. It could result in a brand promotion by including an NXT champion in the main roster of WWE, who shared bouts in tag teams with superstars like Cody Rhodes and two-time TNA World Champion Josh Alexander.
The 35-year-old Ethan Page is at the top of the rumor list and is reportedly going to be added to WWE’s main roster, as Dave Meltzer claimed,
“He’s probably going to the main roster.”
Ethan Page has certainly made a name for himself. Naming some of his achievements such as the Ring of Honor in 2014, Impact World Tag Team Championship, his impactful presence at All Elite Wrestling, and dominance at NXT by winning one NXT Championship within 40 days of his debut, a wrestler of this distinction could build excitement among fans, benefiting the brand.
Ethan Page’s journey in WWE
Page has made an impactful career and gathered significant attention after joining the WWE franchise on May 28, 2024.
He attacked NXT champion Trick Williams, participated in a 25-man battle royal for the NXT Championship Title at NXT Heatwave, but came up short. However, he later succeeded in a fatal four-way match at Heatwave to win the title. Page eventually lost to Williams on NXT’s CW premiere, but not before successfully defending his title against Dante Chen, Mensah, and Joe Hendry.
Despite a setback at the iron survivor challenge from Oba Femi after his return, Ethan Page has consistently proved his worth both inside and outside the ring, showing he is up to the stature of recognition.
The entry of Page into WWE’s main roster could be intriguing for storytelling and might act as a game changer. It all remains to unfold.
