In recent years we have seen several stars return to the WWE universe from AEW. Stars like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jade Cargill have all made the switch and are currently playing a major role in the storyline.
One more veteran has now hinted at a possible return to WWE. Saraya (formerly known as Paige in WWE) has sparked speculations of a possible return to the WWE universe. She was last seen in WWE in 2022. Her time at the WWE universe was cut short after a neck injury forced her to quit. She did come out of retirement to join AEW later.
The former AEW Women’s Champion has expressed that she feels like there isn’t a spot for her at AEW right now. Saraya has last wrestled on Oct 8th 2024 in an episode of AEW Dynamite. Her contract with AEW expires this September and there hasn’t been any talks of an extension either.
Recently Saraya also posted a line from her previous entrance song on twitter. She wrote “Tear the stars out from the sky”
Saraya is in the twilight stages of her career and realistically she can make the move to WWE, where it all started. She has had an illustrious career in WWE. She is the youngest women Champion in WWE history. She is also a two-time WWE Divas Champion and remains the only woman to hold both a WWE and NXT Women’s Championship at the same time.
Saraya is close to retirement and it will be interesting to see if she decides to step on the WWE stage one last time before calling it quits. Saraya still has some unfinished business in WWE and by facing off against some of the top talents of today’s generation she can cement her legacy as one of the greatest to ever compete in the ring. Fans would undoubtedly love to see her have one final run.
